The program :- Pick-up by bus from
the hotel begins at 7:45 to 8:30 AM depending on tides. The
bus will proceed to Cortalim (a 45 minute drive) where the
passengers will board the boat which will journey up the
Cumbarjua river and back. Beers, soft drinks and mineral water
are at their disposal. There will be a stopover for lunch at a
farm in the heart of the Cumbarjua mangroves.

The boat :- Two, strong, traditional wooden boats, that can
comfortably seat thirty and twenty people respectively (note
:- we do NOT overpack the boat!) Each is equipped with
sufficient life jackets, has a sunshade and an ice
river :- Far from the madding
crowds runs the Cumbarjua river, a vibrant mangrove habitat.
Declared a 'no development zone' to protect its diversified
natural beauty, it is 'home' for the Mugger crocodile and a
vast number of birds including six species of kingfishers, the
Brahminy kite, Green Heron, Night Heron, and various other
waders. Besides, many migratory birds like the Osprey,
Whitenecked stork, Marsh harrier etc., flock here.
