Harvey Osborne D'Souza

  • Certificate by WWF for conducting birdwatching trips.
  • Currently undergoing Course in Environmental Studies conducted by Indira Gandhi National Open University.
  • Participated in Statewide Tiger and Panther Census in May 1997
  • Wildlife Columnist for Weekender
  • Worked with Forest Department in the release of wild animals held in captivity such as crocodiles, turtles, and snakes.
  • Conducted small-scale mangrove re-plantation projects of 3 species i.e. Candelia Reddi, Rhizophera Mucronata and Brughiera Gymnorhiza.
  • Held educational-cum-sightseeing Croc'n' bird trips for students in May '98.

Both guides have made WILDLIFE their career. Besides their knowledge of birds, they are well informed about nature in general, speak good English and are familiar with Dutch and Finnish names of birds.
