GOALS OF THE INTERNATIONAL GOAN CONVENTION
- To bring together Goans to strengthen the sense of community among them;
- To develop thecapacity of Goan to meet the social, economic, cultural and political challenges that lie ahead;
- To foster better understanding between Goan people and the community at large;
- To share with others our sense of values, our industriousness in the workplace and our pride in home and family
About the Convention Logo
The Official Logo for the Convention was designed by Osmond Remedios and the rationale for the design is as follows:
- The tower signifies the CN. tower which has become a landmark of the City of Toronto, which is the host city.
- The red Maple Leaf stands fo r Canada, the host country.
- The yellow in the "O" signifies the world incorporating the 'International ' aspect.
- The letters ' G.O.A.' represents the hosts - The Goan Overseas Association, Toronto.
