Dear Saligaonkars,
It is well
known that our Church is a gothic glory of ravishing beauty. During the
last five years, through the genorosity of Saligaonkars at home and
abroad, a very substantial sum has been spent in enhancing its beauty
in necessary repairs especially of the neglected
parochial house and providing needed amenities specially proper parking
places for the ever growing number of vehicles.
To, sort of,
complete the picture, a necessary and expensive project remains - a
suitable
hall. Main use of this project is to provide classrooms for our growing
number of catechism children by making rooms with collapsible
partitions. At present they are scattered all over the parochial house.
Other uses will be social, cultural and formative activities like
seminars, courses etc.
Depending on
the never failing generosity of Saligaonkars, at home and abroad, we
have decided to proceed with the project. Plans have been drawn by
Goa's well-known architects Mr. Dean D'Cruz and Mr. Noel Fernandes both
Saligaonkars and the estimated cost is around Rupees Eight Lakhs Only.
Contributions may be sent to the Parish Priest by Cheque/Cash/DD in favour of "Mae de Deus Church Parochial House" Extension Fund. For this purpose we have opened a SB A/C under No. 8951, in Bank of India, Saligao.
May Our Lady who has blessed us abundantly repay you manifold.
