Local panch member Oswald Cordeiro expressed anger about the incident and said that despite undertaking door-to-door garbage collection of both wet and dry garbage in the village, garbage was dumped along the main road. He said, “Two to three times, our village youth have undertaken garbage collection drive along the main road on border of Moira-Bastora panchayat and every time our village has to face this problem and it brings a bad name to our village.”
He further informed, “In this garbage we have found a number of bills and we are hopeful that the police will track the culprits on the basis of the large number of bills which are dumped. Wet garbage from some fast food centre was also found.”
