An impressive Museum of Goan
Culture will be inaugurated by a top dignitary at the Xavier Centre of
Historical Research (XCHR), at Porvorim
A
three-day seminar is also scheduled at the Centre from December 6, in
which 15 eminent personalities from different parts of India and four
Jesuits will participate and present their papers. The theme of the seminar
is 'In the footsteps of Francis Xavier, Jesuits in India'. Other topics
to be discussed at the seminar include Jesuit impact in the fields of
their involvement, expectations from the Jesuits in the third millennium,
relevance of Francis Xavier for India today anf the presence of Jesuits
in Indian History.
