Disappointed Francis says this is the ‘reward’ for his loyalty

Panjim: Disappointed with being dropped from the cabinet due to ill health, former Urban Development Minister Francis D’Souza, who is being treated in the US, said he has been rewarded for his loyalty. “This is the reward for my 20 years loyalty to the party,” D’Souza told Herald through a whatsapp call.

D’Souza, who also served as a Deputy Chief Minister in a Parrikar cabinet earlier, said he had spoken to the CM on Sunday but wasn’t informed about being dropped. “I had even spoken to the chief minister last evening (Sunday) but he did not give me any hint,” D’Souza said.

The former minister added, “Upon getting the knowledge today, when I called him, he said it was the party high command’s decision,” D’Souza, who has been representing Mapusa for the last two decades, said. [H]
