3-day training on jackfruit cultivation
Panaji: The 3-day training programme on ‘jack fruit cultivation and value addition’ will be held from July 10 to July 12 from 10 am to 4 pm at ICAR, training hall, Old Goa. The programme is organised by the women’s wing of GCCI in association with ICAR, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK).
The programme will include different value added products such as chips, papad, leather, pickle along with demonstration; and demonstration of machinery for cutting of jackfruit. The programme will be conducted by Dr Priya Devi, scientist, ICAR and Sunetra Talaulikar, KVK. A registration fee of Rs 500 per person for all three days will be charged from the participants and meals will be provided. Prior registration with GCCI is required due to limited seats for the programme. NT
GEMS entrepreneurs workshop
Panaji: Budding Entrepreneurs Workshop (BEW) will be held from July 27 to August 10 at Nalanda Hall, EDC House, which will be spread out over five days (two days on consecutive weekends and one day for business plan, presentations and mentor allocation.
The workshop will be conducted by the Goa Mentoring Services Trust (GEMS) with an aim to provide mentoring support to young entrepreneurs. The BEW module will comprise of five days of classroom sessions with initial sessions about creating opportunities and ideating and later sessions for identifying and scrutinizing ideas. NT
GTA first anniversary meeting on July 20
Panaji: The Goa Technology Association (GTA) will be holding its first anniversary meeting on July 20, at 6 pm at Fern Kadamba. One of the most recent of industry associations in the state, the GTA membership currently comprises over 70 technology companies, engineering colleges and internet service providers. The core focus of the association is to create growth opportunities for members through training workshops and networking opportunities. [NT]
