Two days after the Sessions Court acquitted the three accused in the Sameer Mapari murder case, Public Prosecutor Sarojini Sardinha on Friday handed over all the case papers and other documents to the police saying the matter is a fit case for appeal.
The case paper and other relevant documents, including the chargesheet, written statements were all handed over to Margao Sub-divisional Police Officer, DySP Mohan Naik, who coincidentally was the DySP of Ponda division, which had investigated the case.
Meanwhile, social activist Aires Rodrigues has said that he would challenge the order of the court acquitting the three accused, Rajesh Desai, Balesh Desai and Vinay Desai, in the High Court. [H]
