Govt seeks more time to file report

Panaji: The state government, on Tuesday, sought time before the high court of Bombay at Goa to a file report on the investigation into the complaint of alleged unhygienic food supplied to police personnel on duty during the 2016 BRICS summit.

The high court has adjourned the case to June 19 . The government had challenged the jurisdiction of the human rights commission to order an inquiry in the case.

Advocate Aires Rodrigues had filed the complaint stating that the government had neglected to cater to basic fundamental and human rights.He had also alleged a Rs 51 lakh food scam. [TOI]
