another
agitation
of identical

to oppose
the Special
Economic
Zones in
Goa is now
shaping
up, albeit
under three
different
banners,
inclusive
of political
forces.
Even as
a collective,
Goa's Movement
Against
SEZs, led
by former
MLA Matanhy
Saldanha
and comprising
a few NGOs
had already
announced
its plan
to resist
the setting
up of the
SEZs, a
new apolitical

'Cidade
de Forasteiros'
The
builders
of the 'Hill
Station
by the Sea'
have done
the unimaginable:
raped the
hill and
robbed the
sea. 'Aldeia
de Goa',
in fact,
will be
a 'Cidade
de Forasteiros',
forasteiros
being the
Portuguese
word for
foreigners/strangers/
outsiders/outlanders/
visitors.
No locals
can afford
the luxury.
