Massive candle light rally held in Bicholim

Bicholim: More than 1,000 mining dependents held a massive candle light rally in Bicholim demanding the restart of mining in the State.

The rally that began from Muslim wada went throughout the city and later culminated at Bordem. The Bicholim MLA, Rajesh Patnekar; BMC chairman, Satish Gaonkar; BMC councilors; Goa forward leader, Santoshkumar Sawant were among others present for the rally.

After the rally the mining dependents demanded that the government should look into the problems faced by the people in Goa and should immediately re-start mining. [H]
