minutes drive from Goa's Dabolim airport, the 144 room Taj Holiday
Village is spread out across many acres of prime property which is
on the edge beach. The restaurants have terra cotta roofed
cottages having a picturesque view and a centrally located pool
that has a bar attached. The village offers facilities like a
disco, a billiards room, tennis courts, golf, fitness centre,
business centre, beauty parlour, water sports and eight
restaurants. These facilities are available to the Aguada Beach
Resort and Aguada Hermitage too.

The
200-room Leela Beach Resort is a jumbo-size holiday resort with
villas set in 45 acres of beach side property. There are pools and
children's activity centres to a disco and a casino and plenty of
sports facilities are available. The Leela resort is beautifully
done but does not have a Goan atmosphere. Mobor is a lively corner
in South Goa, though.

Rooms are
located in the hotel itself. The hotel is beautifully designed by
India's best known architect Charles Correia and has all luxury
facilities like tennis courts, pools etc. Vainguinim Beach is
about 12kms from Panaji, the Capital of Goa and there is abundant
transport. Unlike Baga or Calangute there is not much happening on
this beach except during the peak season, October to May. There is
abundant water sports facilities available from wind surfing, to
boating, to para-sailing and scuba diving. The Barracuda Diving
Club in association with PADI International operates from here.
They offer a number of courses for experienced or wannabe water
sports freaks.

offers rooms in its six villas too. Majorda is located at the
Majorda Beach itself and close enough to the hot spots in south
Goa.

The Park Plaza is a dull-coloured hotel of uninspiring
appearance that one would expect to find in the centre of a city.
The excellent location of the hotel however makes up for its lack
of vibrance. It is situated right on the beach and Bogmalo beach
is rather secluded.
All rooms in this hotel provide a sea
view from the balconies and the hotel has a health club, a
swimming pool, a sauna, a bar, a hair salon, several restaurants.
There is facilities for sailing, water skiing, golf course, para
sailing, squash, water scooters and several restaurants. It is
fortunate that the hotel offers this variety of facilities under
its roof as there is little else to do in the vicinity of Bogmalo
beach except sunbathe. An ideal place for sun-taners.

A three star resort located at Mobor that
offers facilities like a pool, two restaurants serving Goan,
Indian, Chinese and Continental food, a health club, tennis courts
and a 24 hour coffee shop. The hotel is U-shaped and is built
around the pool.

This new hotel
run by the Taj group is cushy and comfortable. The hotel is still
offering fairly reasonable Introductory rates. Spread over 55
acres the hotel is landscaped with tropical plants, palms and
trees.The hotel offers 136 standard rooms, two presidential villas
and two deluxe suites all of them facing the Arabian sea. The
airport is 45 minutes from the hotel.

The view: salt pan lakes and green paddy fields. It is not on the

This three star hotel is not located
on the beach. But for the price it is a good deal. Red-roofed
Portuguese style apartments overlook the pool. A good restaurant
and coffee shop are attached.The room rate is approximately US $
68 plus 15 per cent taxes for an air conditioned double room. A
non-air-conditioned room works out to approximately US $ 62 plus
15 per cent taxes.

hotel located between Candolim and Calangute beaches in north Goa.
The resort offers facilities like a pool, a bar and an in house
restaurant and the rooms are sparingly furnished.
